Objectives: Read/discuss Speak
Activities: Sentence corrections, mini meeting: Groups, Artists get pictures for brochure, Go over summary, read Speak 123-129; summarize, mini meeting
Homework: Artists read pages 123-129

Today we learned that the brochure will be done in sections, and that we will have our own jobs on this project. We also read the book Speak and found out that Malinda is going to start talking to her parents more often, and that shes going to try to be normal and just go with the flow.

We started with school/jail alphabet graphic organizers, then on to group work. I think people eventually got work done in class. BH's day to blog.

Lots of debate over the assignment. Class members should be able to resolve the group situation and move on with the project. I hope we can return to the online brain teasers another time. I did okay with them, not great, and suspect some of you would be more skilled.
